. Clifford was elected to the see of Worcester on 19 August 1401 and consecrated on 9 October 1401. Clifford was translated to the see of London on 22 June 1407. He planned to found a college of the University of Oxford which he intended to name London College. However, he died on 20 August 1421 and his plan did not survive him.
